Playstation 3 Slim

Sony’s second worst kept secret was announced today at the Sony press conference at GamesCom. The Slim Playstation 3 will be out September 1 everywhere for the low price of $299. The Slim Playstation 3 will have the same features and function. 120 GB drive is included and overall the system is 33% smaller and 36% lighter. No mention of backwards capability, so don’t get your hopes up.

But in other good news, the current 80GB Playstation 3 will see a price drop starting tomorrow to $299.
